SwiftFi was built to do more than move money across borders. We created it to be a platform where independent workers, and the companies who hire them, find the structure, the resources, and the visibility to reach the peak of their opportunities. Part of that is practical: faster, cheaper payments. Part of it is human, giving creative minds a place to share their story and connect with their next success.
Creator Spotlight is where we tell those stories. We're starting with someone who has lived both sides of this world. Laura built brands as a freelancer in Colombia, watching her money shrink every time it crossed a border. Wire fees, currency swings, PayPal taking 10% of every payment. She loved living off her ideas, but the banking made freelancing feel more like an illusion than a real career.
That's exactly why she understood what we were building the moment she heard it. When Laura met our co-founders John Pastre and Juan Terra at General Provision in Fort Lauderdale, the idea clicked instantly: a company in New York paying a freelancer in Serbia, Colombia, or Portugal as seamlessly as it pays a local employee. She didn't just come on as our brand strategist. She had lived the problem.
Today Laura leads brand and storytelling at SwiftFi through her studio, Elevenish, helping us make freelancing not just sustainable but scalable, globally. She just wrote the whole story, from her first freelance gig to Consensus Miami, on her Substack.
