Ultimate Beneficial Owner (UBO) Guide
Ultimate beneficial owners (UBOs) are the natural persons who ultimately own or control your business. Partners require each UBO to be listed individually with the same depth of verification as a personal account holder.
For each UBO you typically provide identity details, residential address, ownership share, role, and at least one government photo ID—mirroring individual KYC requirements.

Documentation suggestions
These document types are commonly accepted. Final requirements may vary by country, account type, and partner policy.
Per-UBO identity document
Each UBO needs at least one accepted ID: passport, national ID card, driver’s license, or residence permit. Same minimum standard as individual accounts.
Per-UBO address
Each UBO’s residential address (street, city, region, postal code, country) must be provided and may require separate proof-of-residence documentation.
Ownership and roles
Share proportion, roles (e.g. director, shareholder), business title, and relationship start date help partners map control alongside the ownership structure document group.
Shareholder registry or cap table
Company-level ownership documents support UBO disclosures but do not replace per-person identity and address requirements for each listed owner.
